Dear ...,
I arrived back in Sardinia and the two weeks I have been here feel like two months, so much has happened.
But first things first:
After my arrival Tim came with Petra and her son Joan and we had a look at the area.
We then identified the last points that needed to be clarified in order to make a decision for the site:
1. we must have enough water for Community and the fields to be farmed.
2. we need to know what we can construct in terms of buildings and campground facilities and in what time frame so that we can implement our plans on the site.
This is what we asked an agronomist who is in charge of the area and knows the possibilities that can be carried out on the land. Pierpaolo Ninniri is the president of an important agricultural association in the north of Sardinia and through our other sources we know that he is a really supportive and sympathetic person. He has also helped Sergio to get a lot of EU funds for his projects (and wants to do also for us) and knows a lot of people around who could help us with the camp.
He not only gave us very satisfactory answers, but also mentioned other examples of activities.
This actually broke the dam, in a sense, and we immediately began to expand our activities to more people. In videoconferences and other channels, a surprising number of people pledged their support. Then we formed working groups, set up a common software for collaboration, and emailed potential supporters in a WhatsApp group through which we plan to post day-by-day information and suggestions. The group is now full, it can only hold 256 people. And Petra has also already created a logo.
Now we are working out our proposals for you, and those of you who have already outed themselves to me as potential investors have already received an email from me with a very first and very accommodating proposal. Because now it is already clear that we want to buy all the available land of more than 60 hectares and build a REALLY BIG thing.
Numbers could be:
* Retreat center / Glamping with 108 beds.
* Camping site for 300 people
* Community for up to 50 people
Those are the first numbers on the table right now. And I only mention them because I want to give you an idea.
BTW: Through contacts of Tim we met Sandro, who happened to buy a house in the village next door and will stay here. Sandro is Sardinian, but grew up in Germany. He has great experience with events and gastronomy. He was in Tulum, Mexico for 3 years and helped create the "Papaya Playa Project" and he also worked for a long time at the legendary events at Bar 25 in Berlin. From now on he joins us and becomes a member of the community. He also knows perfect Italian, which helps us a lot. This again fits in with the theme of "Things fall into place", which I have experienced so many times during my work with the camp. It is really magical!

PS: Yesterday evening we had a first videoconference with 14 core team people from 6 countries, in which we talked for 2 hours about the project and also discussed an alternative location. So there are already some stones rolling :-)

ich bin nun wieder in Sardinien angekommen und die zwei Wochen, die ich hier bin, fühlen sich an wie zwei Monate, so viel ist passiert.
Aber das Wichtigste zuerst: Nach meiner Ankunft kam Tim mit Petra und ihrem Sohn Joan und wir haben uns das Gelände angeschaut.
Wir haben dann die letzten Punkte identifiziert, die geklärt werden müssen, um eine Entscheidung für das Gelände zu treffen:
1. Wir müssen genügend Wasser für die Gemeinschaft und die zu bewirtschaftenden Felder haben. 2. Wir müssen wissen, was wir in Bezug auf Gebäude und Campground-Einrichtungen bauen können und in welchem Zeitrahmen, damit wir unsere Pläne auf dem Gelände umsetzen können.
Dazu haben wir einen Agronomen gefragt, der sich mit dem Gebiet auskennt und die Möglichkeiten kennt, die auf dem Land durchgeführt werden können. Pierpaolo Ninniri ist der Präsident einer wichtigsten landwirtschaftlichen Vereinigung im Norden Sardiniens und durch andere unserer Quellen wissen wir, dass er eine wirklich unterstützende und sympathische Person ist. Er hat auch Sergio geholfen, eine Menge EU-Gelder für seine Projekte zu bekommen (und will das auch für uns tun) und kennt eine Menge Leute in der Umgebung, die uns mit dem Camp helfen könnten.
Er hat uns nicht nur sehr zufriedenstellende Antworten gegeben, sondern auch andere Beispiele für Aktivitäten genannt.
Das brach in gewisser Weise tatsächlich den Damm und wir begannen sofort, unsere Aktivitäten auf mehr Leute auszuweiten. In Videokonferenzen und anderen Kanälen sagten überraschend viele Menschen ihre Unterstützung zu. Dann bildeten wir Arbeitsgruppen, richteten eine gemeinsame Software für die Zusammenarbeit ein und mailten potentielle Unterstützer in einer WhatsApp-Gruppe an, über die wir täglich Informationen und Anregungen posten wollen. Die Gruppe ist mittlerweile voll, sie kann nur noch 256 Personen aufnehmen. Und Petra hat auch schon ein Logo entworfen.
Jetzt arbeiten wir unsere Vorschläge für euch aus, und diejenigen von euch, die sich bereits als potentielle Investoren geoutet haben, haben bereits eine Mail von mir mit einem ersten und sehr entgegenkommenden Vorschlag erhalten. Denn jetzt ist schon klar, dass wir das gesamte verfügbare Land von über 60 Hektar kaufen und ein WIRKLICH GROSSES Ding bauen wollen.
Zahlen könnten sein:

Übrigens: Durch Kontakte von Tim haben wir Sandro kennengelernt, der zufällig ein Haus im Nachbardorf gekauft hat und hier wohnen wird. Sandro ist Sarde, aber in Deutschland aufgewachsen. Er hat große Erfahrung mit Events und Gastronomie. Er war 3 Jahre in Tulum, Mexiko und hat das "Papaya Playa Project" mit aufgebaut und hat auch lange Zeit bei den legendären Events in der Bar 25 in Berlin gearbeitet. Von nun an schließt er sich uns an und wird ein Mitglied der Community. Außerdem kann er Italienisch, was uns sehr hilft. Das passt wieder zu dem Thema "Things fall into place", das ich während meiner Arbeit mit dem Camp schon so oft erlebt habe. Es ist wirklich magisch!
